Sorbet Sheepdog & the Anthropomorphic Sound System is a band consisting of Numbers Power and whoever else is around. Started July of 2024, Power has been cutting her teeth in independent music for over a decade - in the process of writing songs for upcoming releases for her main band Floral Tattoo, she realized she had far too much material. This, combined with personal tragedy and loss across the month of July 2024, resulted in a flurry of new songs that needed to be performed immediately. Along the way she’s consistently been joined by her partner Jan Davis (piano), among other key musicians who have helped shape the Anthropomorphic Sound System’s sound - saxophones, singing saws, traditional rock instruments and hand drums, among other things.

Her debut EP as Sorbet Sheepdog & the Anthropomorphic Sound System, entitled Pacers, will be released 8/29/2025 through Friend’s House Records.
